Early registration fees must be postmarked or confirmed with online payment by 5:00 pm CST on June 15, 2019.
How to Register
Pre-registration is required for the event. All concurrent sessions taking place on Friday and Saturday do not require pre-selection. Sessions are on a first come first serve basis on the day of the session.
DONA International members and/or those that have a previously established DONA.com login, register using your login credentials. After logging in, you’ll see a link for “DONA International 2020 Summit.”
If you are not already affiliated with DONA International, please create a record. Then, you’ll be able to select “DONA International Annual Conference.”

Conference Registration Includes
- The special pre-conference Welcome Reception on October 15, 2020.
- The core Summit beginning on Friday, October 16, 2020 and ending Saturday, October 17, 2020.
- Ability to earn contact hours for recertification for sessions attended
- Admission to the Exhibit Hall
- Opportunities to network and connect with doulas, educators, speakers, and others
- Breakfast (Friday and Saturday), to improve accessibility, we have reduced this year’s attendance registration cost. Participants will be given time to seek lunch on their own with six onsite food options, and over twenty restaurants in a one-mile radius of the hotel.
Cancellations and Refund Requests
All refund requests must be submitted in writing, postmarked by August 15, 2020. Please send the written notice to the DONA International Home Office, 35 East Wacker Drive, Suite 850, Chicago, IL 60601.
A non-refundable processing fee of $100 (US funds) will be retained in all cases for each conference fee refund request received by August 15, 2020. Due to financial obligations, after August 15, 2020, no refunds will be issued however you may transfer your registration to a substitute attendee, but you must notify the DONA International home office by calling 1-888-788- DONA (3662) or emailing [email protected]
Doula Spirit Fund Fee Waivers
The doula spirit fund was established many years ago to offer sponsorships for doulas with financial need to help with the expenses of attending our annual conference.
People from around the world contribute to this important fund in small and large amounts. Registrants can offer a contribution as part of their registration or can click here to contribute directly.
Additionally, we raise funds for the spirit fund in other ways. Our conference silent auction and our affiliate program with Office Depot raises funds that have been earmarked for the doula spirit fund by our Board of Directors.
DONA International is pleased to offer a limited number of conference registration fee waivers for the DONA International Leadership Summit in October.
The application window for 2020 closes on June 15, 2020. Recipients of this year’s awards will be notified before July 15, 2020 via email.
The DONA International Summit is one way we continue to provide the highest standard of evidence-based training and education to our members. The leadership summit qualifies as formal continuing education for doula recertification and trainer reapproval with DONA International as well as most other childbirth certification organizations.
Lamaze International, International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) and most other childbirth certification organizations accept DONA International contact hours for continuing education. However, it is the individual registrant’s responsibility to ascertain whether this offering meets the requirements of their certifying organization. The registrant must attend a session in its entirety to receive continuing education credit for that session.
Breastfeeding babies up to six (6) months of age (in arms or slings only, no strollers) who remain quiet may accompany a registrant at sessions, at meals and in the Exhibit Hall. A comfortable breastfeeding room will also be available for nursing families.
Special Dietary Needs
For special dietary needs, check the available options on the registration form.
In order to make the event a success, we depend on conference doulas to assist with tasks such as announcing speakers, helping with merchandise sales, greeting attendees, and general conference assistance! We invite each participant including new attendees to join in on our onsite conference doula team. Indicate your interest in joining our summit volunteer team on the registration form. Volunteers will not miss meals or sessions.

Video and/or audio recording of any session is strictly prohibited. Professional audio recordings of most sessions will be available for sale on-site after the conference. Your attendance at this conference indicates your willingness to be photographed, filmed or recorded and utilized by DONA International for educational and informational purposes.
We are excited about live tweeting, Instagramming, Facebook posting and other social media activities with #DONA2020. Remember, the goal is to provide a snippet or flavor of the session and not be a virtual session. We kindly ask that you keep this in mind as you post.
